When it plays a disc its great, however, as bought the software is obsolete. The product reviews fail to tell the novice buyers that the Blu-ray software is not set but continues to change. Thus newer movies,2008, seem not to play with the loaded software. That is version 1.1. This new model is now up to a version 1.5 as 0f 3/26/2009. Unless you have your player tied to the internet or want to hope you can download the patch correctly to a disc the option is to wait for Panasonic to send you the disc patch. I am currently waiting to see if this is the fix and am concerned this will continue to be an issue.
